I had this dream in August 2023. I'm going to tell a few things first before I tell the story. There was this show I watched that summer that I LOVED. It was called "Lego Monkie Kid". I'm going to list a few characters, MK (the main character), Mei, Sun Wukong a.k.a. The Monkey King, Macaque, Demon Bull King a.k.a. DBK, Redson, Tang, and Pigsy. When I finished watching the episode where Macaque gets introduced, I realized the comfort that Sun Wukong gave me. Macaque was a fucking bitch to MK, and seeing Sun Wukong first lecture MK but then comforting him just gave me a sense of comfort. I made a whole crossover story just because I wanted to make a story with Wukong in it. I'm going to briefly explain a part of the story, but fyi, I am a fictionkin of a character named Cabby. I self inserted myself in Cabby when making the story. She falls in love with someone, but Wukong falls for her, and drama happens between Wukong and the one Cabby loves (including violence wow). This story MIGHT be important for the dream. Okay, into the dream. I don't remember the beginning of the dream, but the Lego Monkie Kid characters were real. I was friends with a few of them, especially Wukong and Mei. I kind of remember Wukong telling me something. Okay pause right there, there is this webtoon called "My Deepest Secret" which, in the beginning, is about the main character having an obsessive boyfriend. The boyfriend tells her that he is "willing to kill anyone who hurts her". Yeah well, my mind probably took this thing for the dream. Wukong tells me the same thing, except he didn't say "kill", he said "hurt". I brushed it off. I thought he was being silly. Later, I was alone and Macaque finds me. He starts being mean for some reason but then just leaves me alone. But then all of a sudden, the dream becomes third person, like I was watching a movie. It cuts to a scene where I wasn't there, but I see DBK chained to a wall in some house, I didn't know who owned the house. But then Redson (who is DBK's son) broke in the house trying to save his dad. Someone, who is the person who did this, walks in and yells at Redson. You probably know who this is by now. It's in first person again. I'm just walking to Wukong's house completely forgetting what I just watched, I probably thought I was just dreaming that whole thing despite me being in a dream. Macaque runs by me, and he gets there first. I get closer to the door, and I hear what is going on. Macaque is yelling at Wukong for kidnapping people. I hear MK and Mei begging him to let them go. I was freaking out. "OH MY GOD, MY FRIEND'S CRAZY!" I thought to myself. Wukong starts yapping about how they were all threats to ME. And that he was doing this, for ME. I'm pretty sure he ties Macaque up as well. I call Sun Wukong's name, and he tells everyone to shut up. He walks out and he starts smiling. He was happy to see me. I was uncomfortable as fuck, but then he starts talking to me and then hugs me. I immediately felt a huge sense of comfort. His hug felt warm, I know that sounds corny. I hugged him back, and he starts talking, implying he loved me. Wukong has this flying cloud thing he likes to go on in the show. We go on there and we just fly. It's night time at the moment and we look at the stars and stuff. I was so comfortable, but then I woke up. I was disappointed that it wasn't real. Like, wtf. I was seeing my cousins that day, and when we got there, my siblings and cousins pointed out that I was hugging myself and heavy breathing. I didn't even notice!
Based on the details of your dream and the context you provided, it seems that your dream reflects your strong emotional connection to the show "Lego Monkie Kid" and specifically to the character Sun Wukong. The dream may be exploring your desires and fears related to relationships, comfort, and protection.
The presence of Macaque being mean to MK in the show and Wukong providing comfort may have triggered the idea of finding safety and reassurance in a relationship. This is further emphasized by the crossover story you created, where drama and conflict arise due to Wukong's feelings for Cabby.
In the dream, Wukong tells you he is willing to "hurt" anyone who hurts you, which may be a reflection of your desire to have someone in your life who can protect and care for you. The mention of the webtoon "My Deepest Secret" could have influenced this particular aspect of the dream, highlighting the theme of possessiveness and obsession in relationships.
The scene where you witness Redson trying to save DBK, only to be confronted by the person responsible for the situation, could represent a conflict between loyalty and protecting loved ones. It may symbolize a fear of getting caught in the middle of someone else's problems or having to choose between different relationships.
As the dream shifts to first person, you are on your way to Wukong's house, seemingly unaware of the events you just witnessed. This could suggest a tendency to ignore or suppress uncomfortable situations or red flags in relationships, preferring to focus on the positive aspects instead.
When you encounter Wukong, his actions and words convey a sense of love and care for you. This brings you comfort and happiness, despite feeling uncomfortable initially. This part of the dream may symbolize your desire for a deep emotional connection and a sense of security within a relationship.
The dream ends with both of you flying on Wukong's cloud, looking at the stars, and feeling a strong sense of comfort. This could represent a feeling of freedom, a shared journey, and a sense of being understood and cherished in a relationship.
Overall, this dream seems to be exploring your longing for a loving and protective relationship. It may reflect your desires for comfort, reassurance, and emotional connection, as well as your willingness to overlook potential issues in favor of those positive aspects.
